What Is BPH?

The prostate is a muscular gland that surrounds the urethra. Often, as men age, hormonal changes cause the prostate cells to multiply, leading to the enlargement of the prostate gland. This condition is called benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), and it affects over 500 million men worldwide.
